Don’t consider this my “end of year” post (although my posting frequency may cause it to be), but I was just just thinking about Thanksgiving, what all I have to be thankful for, and realized that 2011 has been nuts!

In a year that has brought so much change for my family and I, as well as struggles both professionally, in business, and in personal relationships, I have not had a chance to slow down, sit back, and think about the good things that have happened.

So, in no particular order…

I’m thankful that in a year when I’ve lost many friends due to a change decision my wife and I made, we have found many more in the process. I knew when we moved on from our old church that many people would quit talking to us, and it happened. But in that move, we have had a chance for other bonds to grow stronger with others as well as meeting an entire new group of people which we are getting to know well.

I’m also thankful of the relationship April and I have. No marriage is perfect, and I definitely would never pretend ours is. Through the tons of tough times this year, we’ve stuck through it, grown closer, renewed our commitment to each other no matter what comes against us, and learned that when no one else is around we can always rely on each other.

Along those same lines, I’m thankful for all of my family. I’ve worked more this year than in any year past as I’ve taken on more responsibility at work. They’ve been supportive of me when I had to hole up in the office all night, sometimes as late as 3am in the morning.

I’m very thankful for my job. Sure, it has had its down sides over the years, but the bottom line is, I work for a great company in my profession. After interviewing around some this year, I came to realize just how good we really have it.

I’m very thankful of the health of my family; in particular my kids. I’ve heard horror story of kids with diabetes, cancer, and other unexplained illnesses. I have 3 wonderful kids, all healthy, energetic, and full of love.

I’m thankful that I found a company like Beachbody. Sure, I make money, but more than anything, it has me interested in my health, my fitness, my family’s health, and has given me a platform to be an inspiration to others, helping them achieve their fitness goals.

Finally, and most importantly, I’m thankful for a loving God. I don’t talk on public forums like my blog or social media a lot about my faith due to how I see it being abused by so many (i.e. the “holier than though”, pharisee types who talk big but live a hollow, blasphemous spiritual life), but I’ve felt like my spiritual life has taken me from one wanting to find God’s love to being one that wants to display His love.

Most people associate prospering more with New Years than the 4th of July, but it makes perfect sense to me that “Independence Day” be extended from a historical celebration to a personal celebration of discovering wealth building techniques.

So enjoy it, find a business or method that works for you, and make it great.

I mentioned the other day that I had been doing some writing on a powerful subject.

Today, I’m going to share the information with you.

I entitled this articles (for marketing purposes): MLM Success And Mindset – The Power Of The Dream. It is the first of a few articles I plan on publishing on the different directories dealing with embracing your dream and using your dream to motivate you until you reach success.

So I hope you enjoy the read. Its a personal story/testimony around embracing the dream and pushing through adversity.

“There’s no excuse not to dream.”

When I read that saying on a wrapper of a poiece of Dove candy, I thought, “How appropriate for my life and home business.” I have never held on to a candy wrapper before, but I kept this one.

Dreams are powerful, but too many people either do not know how to dream or life has beaten them down to a point where they cannot dream. But the dream cn be revived through an emotional connection, either to a desire, to an individaul, or to a situation.

Not too long ago I almost let life steal my dreams. My wife was pregnant, was having complications, we were facing a financially difficult time, and I felt buried and near worthless. I knew I was not depressed, just struggling with making things work.

And I almost quit. I almost quit my dreams, my business, and my desires.

Then I had an awakening of sorts.

During all of the financial delimmas my wife took on a job watching kids at our house. It was a great opportunity for extra income. She had the chance to watch a young kid all week and a handful o fschool-aged kids after they got out of school. It paid wewll and we were truly thankful the opportunity came.

But was awakening let me to realize how handicapped we felt because of her job. A bit of our freedom was had always enjoyed was given up.

I started some deep soul searching on the matter. I knew I wanted more flexibility for my family, but financially it would not makes since at that point.

It was at this piont my excuse, or excuses, turned into hunger.

My hunger has propelled me to work harder than ever before. I have worked hard in the past on a home business, but not to this extent. I am pushing hard for success. and success does not have to be a million dollar income. Success could come in the form of freeing my wife’s time.

I had regained my dream, my hunger, and my drive to succeed.

There’s no excuse not to dream. Regardless of what life has done to you, what failures you have had in your home business before, or the rejection you ahve faced, there is no excuse to give up on your dreams.

If you give up on your dreams, I guarantee they will give up on you. And no one else will dream for you.

What is took for me to regain my focus on dreams was an emotional experience, a desire to see freedom for my family. If you are thinking about giving up on your dreams, remind yourslef why you had that dream in the first place.

Did you want more time with your family?

Did you want to tavel more?

Did you crave success?

The way to regain dreams is to simply remember what it was like to have the dream in the first place. In regaining your ability to dream, you may find your dream expanding. I know mines has.

There’s no excuse not to dream. Regain your dream, help your home business team regain their dreams, and dream big.

In fact, my mentor releases a lot of videos for us to use in our video marketing (although I really want to get back to making my own, just working on limited time right now).

But my revelation today about video marketing was less with a video specific for my business but more with a video posted months ago as just a family video.

Brookyn was fascinated by the Subway $5 foot long song…she sang it all the time. So I caught her singing it on video and uploaded it to YouTube.

Of course, since it was not a marketing video I did not pay any attention to it. So tonight when I went to upload a new video, imagine my surprise when I saw the video had over 300 views!

No keywords (really), no attention paid to what it was about, but garnered a lot of views.

I’m taking this as a lesson in getting additional video key words just right. I know why this got a lot of views…and taking this bit of knowledge I learned from this I plan to work on getting my other videos extra exposure.

Enjoy the video….It has been enjoyed by others over 300 times!

With everything I am learning about Internet Marketing, I figured it was time I was nice and helped the wife (April) out with her BeautiControl business.

So we did some keyword research, put together a sales page, and are in the beginning stages of getting a fully-functional Internet marketing system down for her.

Feel free to check out her site:

Spa Quality Products

Her goal is to find ladies who want to look good, feel good, and like spa products but don’t always have the time or money to go to the spa.

We worked on the sales copy together….not super-pro standards, but functional.

If anyone ever wonders what it is like in our house, here are two videos that show exactly how crazy it can get.

The first video is a cute clip we have of Brooklyn performing her version of the Subway $5 Footlong commercial. Hey Subway, if you’re watching, here’s your next star!

The second video is Brooklyn and Tori being, well, Brooklyn and Tori. They run, they play, and all of this inbetween giggles and laughs. They have a good time, are great kids, and love to have a great time.

By the way, this is only about 5 minutes of slightly edited video. This excitement was going on for at least 30 minutes…all between bath time and bed time.

Enjoy the videos!

In a hussle to get out the door and avoid snow a couple of weeks ago, April and Brooklyn lost the one thing that Brooklyn has held on to since she was 3 months old:

Her “Ellie” (an Elephant Lovey).

We knew we had to get Ellie back. After all, she was a family member. =)

After confirming that she was definitely missing, we ordered one off of Ebay.

Original cost was around $13.
