A New 90 Day Challenge…And Kris Allen

April 29th, 2009

So my first 90 day challenge went well.  I did “fail” in the aspect that I did have some days where I simply could not market as much as I wanted, but I did find some new marketing niche’s and outlets that has brought a lot of traffic (in particular my P90X blog, which I have not monetized yet.

But with some new products coming up from my primary opportunity I am going to focus on a couple of niches that should be quite profitable.

I’m not starting quite yet as I’m gathering my thoughts on what all I’m going to do.

I’m going to give more emphasis to blogging, article marketing, and videos, but don’t rule out social networking sites quite yet.

And I have not written much recently, especially about Kris Allen on American Idol.  All I can say is he has done incredibly well and the entire state of Arkansas is proud of him.  He is the most overall talented individual on the show, although not the best “entertainer” (that belongs to Adam).

So good luck Kris in  the next few weeks.

90 Day Internet Marketing Challenge – Google #1 Ranking

January 28th, 2009

number1_googleSo while doing what I do on a daily basis, I had a really, really high Google ranking.

The SERPS returned over 4 billion pages (nearing 5 billion) and yet I had a social bookmark put my blog at #1.

I could not believe it and knew others might not, so I decided to do a screen capture as well as annotate on the picture where I am and show the search results.

Now, I did not expect it to stay there.  It was a social bookmark and not a main page, and did not have the SEO to keep it that high for too long.  Sure enough, after Google shifted their index (which they do often), it dropped out of #1 after a 24 hour run there.

It still is in the top 20 for the keywords mentioned.  Shift around the keywords to another searchable phrase and I still end up in the top 10 out of millions and millions of results.

So what did I learn through all of this?

Keep doing what I’m doing and something will hit eventually.  Eventually, something will stick at #1 and stay there.  And when it does, that is when the harvest begins.

By the way, I spent some time branding team videos tonight.  I lost my count, but I believe there are around 200 of them.  I’m about 15% through branding all of them and have to find more keywords.

Tomorrow I plan to post the first of my series on the power of harnessing the dream.  Would love some comments and feedback from everyone.

90 Day Internet Marketing Challenge – Week 1 Recap

January 26th, 2009

First, I want to say that if I appear, well, boring or un-animated in these video blogs, it is because I am usually recording them at night after my daughters go to bed.  And while I think the mic keeps me from speaking too loudly, if I wake them up April will skin me alive.  So, therefore I’m quiet and, well, boring (sort-of).

I hope these updates are keeping everyone up to date with what I’m doing and how its going.  Traffic has increased, as it should, and hoping more will come as I continue to forge ahead.

Be looking for the inspirational article in the next day or two.

And if you would like to know how to get a hold of the same Internet Marketing training and mentor I have, email me:  brent@brentworley.com and I’ll show you how you can get it at a $100 discount over retail, or even free!  I can even show you how to make money with it.
